accadis Bildung - a comprehensive approach and for over 25 years “one step ahead”. Education does not start in kindergarten, elementary school or even college, but at birth. Particularly the age group 0-10 constitutes a decisive time in the development of every child. Education and teaching cannot be separated, it is only the methods which differ for each age group and must be carefully selected. Learning and play can be favorably combined if the teacher has specifically been trained to do so. Indeed the whole are of teacher training is currently in flux. This addresses an area that is crying for attention: teacher training in Germany. Educator training to date does not provide for the option of academic studies in the kindergarten sector. In future accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg aims to address this issue and break new ground.
The first step in the right direction was made within the Federal Republic of Germany with the “Education Plan 0-10” which is not restricted to a particular age group such as pre-school aged children, but instead addresses the entire development of a child from birth to 10 years of age. Bavaria and Hesse are leading the way. “We want a continuous, challenging, promotional educational concept which is also appropriate for the children” announced Silke Lautenschläger, Social Minister for Hesse.
Accordingly, all those involved in education and teaching should be consulted – including the families. “We know that early learning provides the foundation for lifelong learning. The principle is therefore: children must be stimulated earlier, more intensively, individually and with lasting effect” says Karin Wolff, Minister for Education.
accadis Bildung is committed in all areas of language competence. It integrates social and intercultural competence and pays attention to individual needs of the students. There will be no future without education. To counteract this must be a priority for all of us.
